Madrid Airport Terminal 1
Madrid Airport Terminal 1 operates mainly with International flights and major international carriers such as Lufthansa, Air Europe, Air France or Easyjet, among others.
Terminal T1 is the oldest terminal of the Airport.
Terminal 1 at Madrid Airport is where boarding gates A, B and C are located.
Levels
Madrid Airport Terminal 1 consists of the following levels:
Ground level
Arrivals area.
Find in this level boarding gates A9-12, along with the Baggage carousels and customs.
For the Non-Schengen flights baggage claim go to the Hall 1 and for the domestic and Schengen flights get to the Hall 2.
First level
Departures and check-in level.
Boarding gates in level 1 are the ones belonging to B and C, and also A remote gates.
Please note that the center gateway is where shared gates C30-46 and B30-18 are located. Past Gate C46, passengers may proceed to connect to Terminal 2, where it is also possible to connect to boarding gates A14-A1 through the gate area B18-20.
Second Level
VIP area.
Distance inside the terminal
Distances in that terminal can be huge. Please, check walking times here:
Walking times from security check to gates:
Time to the farthest A gates: 4 to 8 minutes.
Time to the farthest B gates: 1 to 4 minutes.
Time to the farthest C gates: 2 to 5 minutes.
Transfer between terminals
Passengers may transfer between terminals by the frequent shuttle buses that connect Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 with the rest of the terminals. Operate 24/7.
